Paddles the Platypus is about an Australian platypus mother to be searching for the right place to lay her eggs. The book also features the platypus burrow and the babies.
Characters from my previous books – Cassy’s Tale (cassowary), Bobby the Tree Kangaroo and Where is Croaky? (green tree frog) – are reintroduced and wonder about the unusual mammal, which is only partly visible until later in the story.
The book has some educational facts, is funny and has beautiful art work which includes cockatoos, long necked turtle, rainforest and creek vegetation.
